Dotun Ogunyemi - Founder/President
Dotun Ogunyemi, MD is a physician with expertise and leadership roles in medical education, patient safety and quality improvement, and diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racist education. He obtained his MD degree from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria; completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN) at King Drew Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, and a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship (MFM) at David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. To facilitate the reduction of health disparities and improve healthcare workforce diversity, he is focused on developing pipeline programs for underrepresented and disadvantaged students to matriculate into healthcare professions and innovative workshops to create equitable fair work & learning environment, to improve resilience and wellbeing. He is a certified emotional intelligence coach and has published on the topic. He is a Christian and is involved in his local church.
Nathaniel Sugiyama - Vice President
Dr. Nathaniel I. Sugiyama is currently an Anesthesiology resident at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Nathaniel completed his bachelors of science at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and graduated from medical school at the University of Vermont. Prior to medical school, he co-founded a biotechnology company focused on developing an oxygen carrying biologic resuscitation drug for use in traumas and served as a business manager for a private medical practice in Los Angeles, CA. Nathaniel grew up in Los Angeles, CA and looks forward to giving back to the communities that contributed so much to his experience. Interests include patient safety, quality improvement, healthcare system innovation, biotechnology, population health and spending time outdoors and with loved ones.

Roy Kelly - Director
Roy Kelly, RN is a Detroit native who earned his Associated Degree in Nursing at Wayne County Community College. Roy specialized in intensive care while at the Detroit Medical Center. He is currently working in intensive care as part of the emergency FEMA response to the COVID 19 pandemic. Roy has a passion for mentoring youth in the metro Detroit area. He also is a member of Diversity CRNA; a non-profit organization aimed at preparing underserved populations for a career in nurse anesthesia.
Richard Levy - Treasurer
Richard Levy CPA is certified accountant and senior partner at Levy, Levy & Nelson in Calabasas California. He is currently the Director/Treasurer of Bell Canyon, California, and the Director/ President of Bell Canyon Community Services District- a government agency. He also has served in the Los Angeles Police department Van Nuys Homicide Division and Northeast Homicide Division and the Valley Traffic Division. He is a pilot and flies his 2-seater plane regularly.
Henry Okonkwo - Secretary
Henry Okonkwo PA, is healthcare industry consultant and educator. He is currently the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Operations Officer for Skilled Wound Care Surgical Group managing 50+ Physicians, 50+ Physician Assistants & Nurse Practitioners in California, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. He is also co-managing of over 400 Nursing Home and Long-Term Care Hospital Accounts. He obtained the Physician Assistant Program, Degree and B.S. in Health Sciences, from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science - Los Angeles, CA in 2002.
